Students whos career preparations require successful completion of science and mathematics courses outside of biology may substitute one course from those areas for certain biology courses with the approval of the department chair. The teaching internship required for licensure will be completed on a post-baccalaureate, graduate credit basis, with the student becoming eligible for a teaching license at the end of fall term following graduation.
