FYW-1279 Ethics of Photography Seminar will explore photography through historical and contemporary ethics, standards and practices. Course examines visuals through the history of photography, current day practices and methods of critiquing photographs as objects of art. Exploring pictures, theoretical essays and a photography exhibition, students will move through exercises in photographing and writing assignments that will analyze topics such as exploitation, plagiarism, manipulation, reportage and truth in photography. 4 credits.
