ENG-254 Prison Literature GER: TA (Critical, Analytical Interpretation of Texts) and WR (Writing-Research Intensive) Prerequisite: Any First Year Writing Seminar An examination of literature by and about incarcerated people to provide a glimpse into the lives of incarcerated people before, during, and after release from prison. Through the words of those who are affected by incarceration as well as theories about imprisonment, we will come to a better understanding of the American justice system and how it affects those who are caught in its web. 4 credits.
