HST-257 Feminist and Queer Biography Exploration of the genre of biography as an archive and the role it has played in understanding historical and contemporary experiences of feminist women and LGBTQIA+ people in a global context. This course is an introduction not only to the genre of biography and its role in history, arts, and culture by introducing texts in the Middle East, US, and Europe, but also the interdisciplinary approaches of feminist and queer history writing for understanding historical and contemporary debates about gender, sexuality, and identity. 2 credits.
