To fulfill major requirements in this track, students must complete:
Students planning to teach chemistry in secondary schools must complete a major in the field to obtain a teacher certificate.
These students must also successfully complete:
Teacher Certification
Students interested in teaching chemistry in secondary schools may take advantage of our teacher certification program at the undergraduate level or pursue certification through Furman’s Master of Arts in Teaching. Consult with the Education Department (https://www.furman.edu/academics/education) to learn about the programs of teacher education.
