To graduate with a major in Communication Studies students must take a minimum of NINE courses and satisfy the requirements outlined in each course category below. Students must also have at least a 2.00 grade point average for courses used to satisfy major requirements.

Foundational Courses required for the major:

Methods Courses - must take at least ONE course; will count toward either track:

COM-301 Rhetorical Criticism
COM-302 Media Criticism
COM-303 Communication Research Methods
Upon declaring the major, students will select a curricular track and take at least THREE courses

in their chosen track

Rhetoric & Advocacy Track

Engaged Learning Experience:

At least 1 course (4 credit hrs) is strongly suggested but not required
