Three prerequisite courses must all be successfully completed prior to admission into the certificate program:

Typically, a student’s last accounting course should be completed within a year of the planned program start at Furman 

• ACC-111 Principles of Financial Accounting
• ACC-311 Intermediate Financial Accounting I
• ACC-312 Intermediate Financial Accounting II

four core courses at Furman:

• ACC-320 Cost Accounting
• ACC-330 Auditing
• ACC-340 Federal Income Taxation
• ACC-370 Advanced Financial Accounting

and, at least two more topic-based upper-level accounting courses at Furman:

• ACC-315 Governmental and Nonprofit Accounting
• ACC-350 Accounting Information Systems
• ACC-360 International Accounting
• ACC-365 Forsenic Accounting
• ACC-450 Advanced Topics in Accounting
