REL-244 Topics in Twentieth Century Theology Significant western theological movements, figures, and problems in the 20th century, especially from 1900-1965. Figures include Barth, Niebuhr, Tillich, and Rahner. Students are expected to articulate each thinker’s approach in relation to other thinkers , and to traditional and novel problems. Another objective is to situate foundational theological writings and the lives of the thinkers in their social, ecclesial, and cultural contexts. 4 credits.
