SOC-212 Law and Society GER: HB (Empirical Study of Human Behavior) Prerequisite: SOC-101 or PSC-101 Explores the relationship between law and society from a sociological perspective. Four key areas will be explored: sociological and socio-legal approaches to the study of law, legal institutions, legal actors, and law & social change. Primary emphasis on the interaction between society and law - how social forces influence the nature and content of law and how law influences behavior and beliefs. 4 credits.
