ART-200 Introduction to Ceramics

An introductory course that explores the fundamental techniques and concepts in clay. Students explore hand building, basic wheel work, and surface treatment as essential aspects of form and content. Themes of craft, aesthetics, utility, and history are studied through creative projects that culminate in class critiques. 4 credits.
