ART-330 Art Theory and Criticism

Prerequisite: one art history course
Combines a historical overview of art theory with discussions of critical writing on contemporary art. In considering historical and contemporary art practice, the theoretical frameworks focus on the nature of art, definitions of beauty, the artistic process, and the relationship between art and audience. 4 credits.
