MXP-256 The Psychology of Magic

For millennia, magicians have used sleight-of-hand and a folk understanding of psychology to enchant (and occasionally con) the public. Within the last 20 years researchers have explored the cognitive processes that allow people to experience magic. In this hands-on course you will explore the scientific study of theatrical magic and learn to perform some magic. In doing so, you’ll refine your understanding of the learning process and begin to appreciate magic as a performing art. May Experience ONLY. 2 credits.
