The Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) courses prepare young men and women to become leaders as commissioned officers in the U. S. Army, Army Reserve or Army National Guard.

Any student may take basic courses during their freshman and sophomore years (MSL 101 , MSL 102 , MSL 111 , MSL 201  and MSL 202 ) without incurring a military obligation. Courses numbered 301 and greater are open to contracted ROTC cadets only.
