EDU-435 Planning, Instruction, and Assessment in the Elementary Classroom Prerequisite: declared Education majors enrolled in the spring semester of the senior year Designed to provide teacher candidates with knowledge for understanding the interrelationships among curriculum, instruction, and assessment and background for integrating instruction and technology across the curriculum. Candidates will examine policies, standards, and culturally inclusive practices that maximize learning and support children’s growth. Candidates will also develop and apply instructional strategies to maximize student learning, cultivate a deeper understanding of how assessment is used to plan for instruction, and build connections across the disciplines of science, social studies, mathematics, language arts, and related arts. 6 credits.
