Students interested in majoring in Health Sciences must seek early advice from a member of the faculty and declare the major with the department chair.
Students interested in majoring in Public Health should meet with the major coordinator and should apply during the spring of their sophomore year. In addition to a written application, students must have successfully completed or be currently registered in HSC-205 Fundamentals of Public Health at the time of application. Admission to the major is selective.
Majors may pursue a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in either field of study, but students may not double major in Health Sciences and Public Health.
