one additional course numbered 400 or greater in the discipline.
All majors must enroll in at least one course in their major language during both their junior and senior years. All majors are also strongly encouraged to participate in a study away program before their senior year as well.
Students planning to teach Spanish in secondary schools must complete a major in the field to obtain licensure. These students must also successfully complete:
The teaching internship required for licensure will be completed on a post-baccalaureate, graduate credit basis, with the student becoming eligible for a teaching license at the end of fall term following graduation. Consult with Education for specific requirements for admission to the licensure program and other pertinent information.
