An exploration of the works of African American scholars, writers, and activists and the struggles they chronicle of the Black experience in pursuing the goal of full inclusion in the American body politic. Including an examination of conflicting and synchronous political ideologies, activists, movements, organizations, and institutions that influence the current political position of African Americans. 4 credits.
