FYW-1316 Evolutionary Anthropology: Facts, Fantasy, Frauds GER: FYW (First Year Writing Seminar) This course is meant to help students develop critical thinking and writing skills through close reading and argumentative writing around the topic of evolutionary anthropology. Students will write a series of essays addressing questions related to various topics, including the history of evolution in the United States, famous forgeries and hoaxes, and even bigfoot. Students will develop skills related to supporting their writing through the use of primary and secondary sources as well as films and other popular media as resources. 4 credits.
