FYW-1317 Muslim Feminisms

GER: FYW (First Year Writing Seminar)
This course offers an interdisciplinary perspective on feminist and queer movements in Islamic communities by introducing students to the ways feminist activism unfolds among Muslim and queer organizations across the globe. Students will develop strength in different forms of academic writing about both written and visual texts and complete a final writing project emphasizing academic analysis and fundamental research skills. 4 credits.
