FYW-1322 From Frankenstein to WandaVision

GER: FYW (First Year Writing Seminar)
In this FYW seminar, students draft in a workshop setting four original essays while exploring a text-set anchored in literary or pop culture versions of the Frankenstein myth. Students practice college-level essay writing and critically analyze a range of texts grounded in science fiction texts dramatizing reanimating humans, cyborgs and androids, and artificial intelligence. Students explore what it means to be human and what constitutes effective writing and different types of genres, media, and writing forms. 4 credits.
