MXP-127 Think Like a Producer

This class looks at projects, ventures, and life through a producer’s lens. Students will use the detailed techniques and structure of how producers in the entertainment industry put together budgets and schedules for studios, and investors and show how these techniques can be used in any project or entrepreneurial endeavor. The students will identify a venture or creative project (ie. film, podcast, App, art show, new venture, etc.) that they would like to plan, budget, and manage. They will research and create a budgeted timeline from ideation to delivery of their “goods or services” using techniques that film producers have been using for decades. May Experience ONLY. 2 credits.
