ENG-215 Copyediting GER: TA (Critical, Analytical Interpretation of Texts) Prerequisite: Any first-year writing seminar. Writers need copyeditors to help shape texts into their final forms. In this course, we will theorize copyediting as a collaborative processes in which writer and editor work together. We will consider the differences among the terms reviewing, editing, copyediting, and proofreading; learn the nuts and bolts of copyediting; practice varying editorial philosophies; and tackle real copyediting projects. 4 credits
