EDU-212 Schoolhouse and Courthouse: Education and the Law GER: IEJ (Identities, Equity, and Justice) and HA (Historical Analysis of Human Interactions) This general course provides an overview of the historical interactions between the law and the development of U.S. education from the Colonial period to the present. The course will introduce students to historical analysis as a mode of inquiry, including the use of primary and secondary sources. Laws, court decisions, and official policies related to the growth of U.S. education will be examined in social and cultural contexts. An emphasis will be placed on diversity, equity, and inclusion. 4 credits.
