EDU-275 Educational Psychology GER: HB (Empirical Study of Human Behavior) How do students learn? How do teachers teach? Educational Psychology explores the psychological principles and theories that underpin learning and teaching processes. The course covers foundational areas within educational psychology including contemporary theories of learning and cognitive development, academic motivation, social and emotional development, content area instruction, and assessment. Emphasis is placed on applying psychological concepts and research-based findings into effective teaching practices in diverse educational contexts. 4 credits.
