MXP-200 Sustainable Development in Latin America


This course will explore the theory of sustainable development while visiting on-the-ground grassroots sustainable development initiatives in the Global South. Readings will explore the challenges of development both historically and in the present day. Field excursions will visit initiatives focused on farming, tourism, and conservation while learning about national and international institutional constraints to sustainable development. This is a travel study course and requires permission to register. Please contact the Rinker Center for Study Away and International Education. May Experience ONLY. 2 credits.
