MXP-221 Women in Sports In this course students will explore the history of women in sports, the obstacles women have endured, and their lasting contributions in and outside athletics. Students will investigate groundbreaking female athletes, their intersectional identities, key policies like Title IX, and the critical role of lifelong play. Students can expect to watch films, read (auto)biographies, have the option to participate in class-chosen athletic activities, interact with guest speakers, and engage in community outreach. All gender identities and body abilities welcome. May Experience ONLY. 2 credits.
